About Us

"It is clear we are all drowning in a sea of information. The challenge is to learn to swim in that sea rather than drown in it." - Dr. Peter Lyman, 1940-2007

The idea of EduCel was born in San Francisco at the tail end of the first dot-com boom, when it was becoming clear that in the future the real impediment to using the internet as a knowledge transfer and performance support tool was not going to be access or the amount of data available. It was going to become an issue of information overload and the ability to learn something useful without having to waste time on less than sterling material.

Now, a few years later, it has become even clearer that the real challenge is not finding something (or someone willing to contribute their two cents worth), but instead making it easier to process useful information at the time of need. EduCel meets this challenge with the modular Will-it-Fly?® DKTS (Dynamic Knowledge Transfer System) technology, which is consistently rated both easier to use and more useful than other forms of task-based tools, such as articles, manuals, and tutorials.

Organizations reaping the benefits of EduCel’s new technology include Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York, Delgado Community College in Louisiana, and Chiron Corporation (Novartis) in California.

In addition to the enterprise version of the Will-it-Fly?® DKTS, EduCel owns and operates Willitfly.com in the SMB (Small-to-Medium Business) market.
